"Of course Sony has a better track record, but name me more than 20 games from Ps3 lineup that were superior than 360 games graphically and this is in 7 years time"

MORE THAN 20?????

Isn't 20 games more than enough to prove a point? I only bought 30-35 games over the entire PS3 generation.

I was going to make a longer post, but Enemy said everything I wanted to say in post# 1...

That is a surprisingly low number for the CEO of a major corporation. CEO's of American corporations the size of Sony make a lot more money than that.

@Johnsonparts23

I know it's been done before, but 64-player multiplayer is quite a change from the 12-on-12 multiplayer that was in console Battlefield and COD.

The issue is bandwidth. We can just put more bandwidth between a local storage medium and out television screen, than we can put between the internet and our HDD. Also consider that Sony has a vested interest in the the success of storage mediums, like blu-ray. When you take the aforemention two facts into account, it becomes clear that video games will come primarily on store-bought medium for the forseeable future.

The game can be great and still be a lot worse than the movie his avatar is from because, because Return of the Jedi is awesome.

GODMARS SAID IN POST #1.2.1

"No they don't. They just don't want to go to the extra efforts of advertising which GS saves them. Technically." (End Quote)

Well then they need Gamestop. If Gamestop is doing something that they need but are unable or unwilling to do then they need Gamestop. That is the definition of needing someone.

I am wondering about that, what is to say that Microsoft won't draw a line in the sand, and say "all games released after 'this date' must be registered online"?

I'm not saying that MS will do it; I'm saying that them trying to pull this in the first place, makes me suspicious that they may try it again when they believe they can get away with it.

@us_army

How do you know that the PS4 allotment is larger than the Xbone allotment.

4707d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Actually it is in Gamestop's best interest to offer the Xbox One and then bait and switch the customers to the PS4 when they get into the store.

That is what I expect them to do if Microsoft sticks to it DRM until launch.

The core product and the core features do stink.

I know you don't agree with that because you stated as much in your blog. But you are looking at it with rose-colored glasses. You are an Xbox fan who is looking for a reason to like the Xbox One, and slanting all of the information you get in the Xbox One's favor. But fact is that the drawbacks clearly outweigh the benefits of the Xbox One. When you look at it in context, which is to say "what are the benefi...

@ Insomnia

Disc-based games outsell their download-only versions by a lot. A traditional disc-based game is just better than its download-only counterpart. Everybody knows discs are better and most choose to buy the disc over the download when the price is the same.

That fact is why Microsoft tried this deceptive DRM business. They knew that if they released the Xbone as a download-only system, that no one would take seriously from the very beginning. So...

There are no benefits to their DRM system.

The problem is the reality, not how Microsoft talks about the reality.

Actually, what they will probably do if the sales are poor is to kill the Xbone, if the sales don't pick up for any length of time.

Bayonetta was designed too fail. Baka is right. The mistake was in designing it as a 360 exclusive a releasing a broken, unplayable port on the PS3. All the hack and slash fans are on Playstation, if anything it should have been designed as a PS3 exclusive.

The article is correct in that Nintendo's move won't be enough to save the Bayonetta franchise. Bayonetta has to buy its way onto the PS4 if it is to live to a third game. Platinum may have too borrow from a ...

Micorosoft had better hope so. When I looked at the Amazon poll the number was 18,425 for PS4 and 1,053 for the Xbone. If the first 20 million sales look like that then the Xbone will be over and done before it gets off the ground. Publishers will start to jump ship and people will wonder when Microsoft will kill the Xbone.

But that has to translate into sales first.
